Top up your paint protection
A fresh layer of wax or sealant before winter gives the paint an extra barrier against salt, grit and moisture, and helps water and dirt run off more easily. Going into the season with good protection means less damage to undo in spring. A pre-winter valet with a protective finish is a sensible investment.
Keep the interior dry
Winter brings wet shoes, dripping coats and condensation, all of which leave moisture in the cabin. That damp is what leads to misted windows, musty smells and mould. Use rubber mats, shake them out, run the air conditioning to dehumidify even in winter, and do not leave wet items in the car. A dry interior stays fresh.
Visibility and safety
Short, dark, dirty winter days make clean glass and lights essential. Salt spray quickly films up the windscreen and headlights, cutting visibility. Clean the inside and outside of the glass regularly, keep the headlights and tail lights clear, and top up the screen wash with a winter-grade mix that will not freeze.
