What a mini valet includes
A mini valet is about keeping on top of a car that is already in decent shape. It typically covers an exterior hand wash, wheels and tyres, a quick interior vacuum and a wipe of the main surfaces and glass. It is faster and cheaper than a full valet and works well as regular maintenance every few weeks.
What a full valet includes
A full valet is far more thorough. Inside, it covers a deep vacuum of carpets, seats and boot, a full wipe-down of the dashboard, console, doors and trim, interior glass, and an air freshener. Outside, it includes a proper hand wash, wheel cleaning, tyre dressing and a protective wax. It resets a car to a fresh, clean condition rather than just tidying it.
How to choose between them
Ask yourself how the car looks now. If it is broadly clean and you just want it sharp again, a mini valet does the job. If there is built-up grime, crumbs, pet hair, smudged trim or tired paint, a full valet is worth the extra. As a rule, mini valets suit frequent upkeep and full valets suit a periodic deep clean.
Add-ons worth considering
Whichever you choose, some issues need a dedicated treatment rather than a standard valet. Heavy odours, stained fabric or allergies point to steam cleaning.
