How to Prepare Your Car Before the Valeter Arrives

Before a valet, remove your personal belongings, clear the parking space and flag any problem areas, so the valeter can get straight to work. A few minutes of preparation means the job goes more smoothly, takes less time, and gives the best result. None of it is essential, but it all helps.

Clear out your belongings

The single most useful thing you can do is empty the car of personal items. Take out valuables, paperwork, sunglasses, phone chargers, child seats if you can, and the general bits that gather in door pockets and the boot. This protects your belongings, lets us clean every surface properly rather than working around clutter, and means nothing important gets moved or missed.

Sort the parking and access

We need room to work around the car.

• Have the car in an accessible spot with space to open all the doors.
• Move other vehicles if they would block access.
• If it is on-street, a clear, safe space nearby is ideal.
• Let us know any gate codes or parking details in advance.

Tell us about problem areas

You know your car better than we do, so point out anything specific. Stubborn stains, a lingering smell, mould, pet hair, or an area you especially want sorted all help us focus and bring the right approach. If something is delicate or damaged, telling us beforehand means we can work around it carefully. A quick photo when booking is great for this.

The small things

A few final bits keep things easy. Have the keys ready so we can access the car and run it if needed, and be reachable in case we have a question. If you will not be there, just let us know where the keys are and how to access the space. Beyond that, you can carry on with your day while we work.
