Valeting Services in Aston-on-Trent

Few places we cover are nearer to our Chilham base than Aston-on-Trent, a village in the Trent valley in South Derbyshire, south-east of Derby. It is 3.4 road miles away, roughly 12 minutes in the van, which makes it easy to fit in a valet, a steam clean or a window round. Every service on this page is carried out where your car or house already is, and we bring water and power, so you never need to leave a tap or socket for us.

People have been here a long time. A Middle Bronze Age logboat was found during gravel quarrying in Aston upon Trent parish in 1998, and All Saints' Church, the parish's only Grade I listed building, dates back to the 12th century. Today it is a quiet village of family homes with good links to the A6 and the A50, and its cars clock up plenty of miles.

Which services suit Aston-on-Trent homes and cars

The figures for the small Census 2021 area (LSOA) at the centre of Aston-on-Trent cover 1,017 households. Detached houses make up 53.8%, semis 24.7%, terraces 14.1% and flats or other homes 7.4%. Car ownership is high: 56.9% of households have two or more cars, 35.4% have one and only 7.7% have none. Put simply, most homes here have a drive and more than one car to keep clean, so booking two vehicles on the same car valeting visit is efficient, and larger detached houses with upstairs bays and conservatories are well suited to water-fed pole window cleaning. Households without a car can still book window cleaning on its own.

Climate shapes the rest. The village sees 148 wet days and 778 mm of rain a year, 31 air frost nights and average humidity of 80%, peaking at 89% in December. The damp months are when mould takes hold in cars left standing on a drive, so a spare or weekend car is worth checking each autumn. Steam cleaning's low moisture helps seats dry in that weather where a wet shampoo would struggle. Winter gritting on the main roads makes a spring engine bay clean worthwhile, and soft tops benefit most from reproofing in the drier late spring, when July's 73% humidity is not far off.

Valeting in Aston-on-Trent: Questions

A valet is the all-round clean, washing the outside by hand and vacuuming and wiping the cabin. Steam cleaning goes deeper inside, lifting grime from seat fabric, seams, vents and child seat areas with very little water. If the car is generally tidy, a valet is enough. If there are stains, smells or a dog that rides in the back, steam is the better choice.

Yes. Many combinations work well together, such as a full valet with an engine bay clean before selling a car, or window cleaning on the house while we are already there for the car. Tell us everything you want when you book so we can allow enough time. It saves you arranging a second date and being home twice.

We work Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm. Because the village is close to our base, a short-notice slot can be easier to fit in here than in places further afield. If a weekday is impossible because of work, ask about a weekend or out-of-hours slot, as these can sometimes be arranged on request. Call 07500 772156 to check availability.
